BCA History

The BCA was established in 2014 as a non-profit organisation with a voluntary board of directors. Initially, the aim was to form an association that could enhance care standards throughout the Bradford district and offer support to care providers, as well as giving the sector a voice on a local and regional level, with the active support of as many members as possible.

A united, sustainable and future‑ready adult social care sector across the Bradford District, delivering high‑quality care and recognised as an equal partner within the health and care system.

Our Role

Bradford CareAssociation is the strategic voice, connector and advocate for adult social care providers. We work at place, regional and national level to support provider sustainability, influence commissioning and policy, and strengthen the care sector for the future.

Care Association Alliance

The BCA are active members of the Care Association Alliance (CAA), the alliance was established as a means of local care associations to exchange best practice based on their experiences as well as being useful a vehicle to highlight the challenges and issues faced by care providers directly to the central decision makers such as the Department of Health and Social Care.

Yorkshire & The Humber Care Association Alliance

The BCA are active members of the Yorkshire & The Humber Care Association Alliance (YHCAA). YHCAA is a collaboration between multiple Care Associations across Yorkshire and Humber Region, working together to create a bigger voice for independent adult social care providers.
